Hello Everyone,
For the first post I thought I would go into some detail about what is going on, and what the plans are.
First off, the Hot Rod Power Tour is a 7 day, 7 city adventure going from one point in the United States to another. This year it is going from Madison, Wisconsin to Bristol, Tennessee.
About 2000 car guys and gals get together and travel to each stop along the way. At every stop, there is another large show with local people joining in. Normally at each event, a different vendor does different things, from a cruise night, to autocross.
I did the tour last year (www.hotrodpowertour2008.blogspot.com) and had a blast. As soon as I found where the 2009 Tour was going, I signed up.
Last year I couldn’t get my 71 CHallenger done in time, and I didn’t have the ability to do so again this year, so I decided to take the plunge and purchase my first new car, an 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic in B5 blue.
This year I’m doing it right, my friend Mike and I are going to be hanging out with the MoPower Tour, the “Tour within a Tour” group of Mopar guys!
Over the next few weeks before the Tour, I’ll go through what I’m doing to prepare for the Tour, along with other people on the Tour.
The goal of this blog is to show each day what has happened with videos, pictures and anything else I can think of!
